1. Purpose

This document explains how artificial-intelligence tools may have been used in the Hypergravity Habitat repository.

The purpose is transparency. AI assistance can be useful for drafting, restructuring, consistency checks, and review preparation, but it does not replace scientific, engineering, ethical, legal, or safety responsibility.

2. Current Disclosure

AI tools may have been used to support:

• drafting and restructuring text,
• improving readability,
• identifying inconsistencies,
• proposing checklists and document structure,
• reviewing terminology,
• suggesting public-readiness improvements,
• converting technical notation into more readable form.

AI tools are not authors of this project. They do not hold responsibility for the accuracy, safety, legality, ethics, or scientific validity of the work.

All claims remain the responsibility of the human maintainer(s) and contributors.

3. Verification Requirement

AI-assisted text must be treated as draft material until checked.

Before a claim is used as evidence, contributors should verify:

1. the source exists,
2. the source supports the exact claim,
3. units and equations are correct,
4. assumptions are visible,
5. uncertainty is stated,
6. safety and ethics implications are not overstated,
7. references are complete enough for expert review.

AI-generated references, summaries, or numerical values must not be trusted without independent verification.

4. What AI Assistance May Not Be Used For

AI assistance must not be used as a substitute for:

• ethics approval,
• safety certification,
• medical governance,
• railway, maglev, or structural engineering sign-off,
• biosafety review,
• animal-welfare review,
• legal or regulatory review,
• human-subject protocol approval,
• final literature review quality control.

5. Recommended Citation Language

For public-facing documents or proposals, a short disclosure can be used:

AI tools were used for drafting, editing, consistency checking, and document-structure support. All scientific, engineering, safety, ethical, and bibliographic claims remain the responsibility of the human project maintainer(s) and contributors and require verification against appropriate sources.

6. Contributor Rule

Contributors may use AI tools, but should disclose substantial AI assistance in pull requests when it affects:

• scientific interpretation,
• literature summaries,
• calculations,
• safety or ethics language,
• public outreach material.

Substantial AI-assisted content should be reviewed with particular attention to unsupported claims and fabricated citations.

8. Status

This disclosure should be updated if the repository later publishes papers, datasets, formal proposals, or experimental results.
